Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Noah Elliot Simon Shaw
I'm so determined to name my firstborn son Noah after this character. Yes, I want my son to be like this sarcastic asshole with a sensitive and caring heart. (Caveat: there was a time in my life I wanted to name my firstborn son after Edward Cullen...things changes.)
Belly Conklin & Conrad Beck Fisher
Okay. I'm not really loving Belly as a name, but I do love it as a nickname. It's so unique and out there that you want to here the story behind it. I love that rich history.
I love Conrad's full name. It's a strong and sturdy name. It's also crisp and easy to say. I love that his middle name is his mother's maiden name, so that part of Susannah is still alive.
He looks like a Greek god and has a name that sounds like a Greek God. Swoon. I love the fact that I kind of just assumed his name was Alexander, but was glad that it wasn't. I think it's the name and the fact that he had a Thoreau tattoo.
I swear to God, Stephanie Perkins must have a name genie. I loved Cricket's name for so many reasons. It's unusual and the times that I've heard it, it's usually been a girl's name. I love how it fits Cricket so well and I can't imagine Cricket being anyone other than Cricket Bell.
Etienne St. Clair
Again. Stephanie Perkins and her swoon worthy boys with their swoon worthy names. You can't help but say his name all foreign like.
"'Etienne St. Clair.' I try to pronounce like him, all proper and posh."
I love how tribal Roar's name sound. I think it would only work in rare occasions and it totally works for Roar and in the UTNS series.
Every time I say Adrian's name, I say it with a Russian accent. His name requires it. I never refer to him by his first name. He's either part of Sydrian or is Adrian Ivashkov.
I have a love/hate relationship with Jace's name. I love the name Jace, period. I think it's hilarious that he has so many last names, but trying to remember which last name to use when is a pain in the ass.
I think I like the process of Tris getting her name more than I necessarily like her name. I like the fact that she chose her name for herself and became who she wanted to be. I'd love to chose my own name, but I have no idea what I'd choose.
I love the name, it's so powerful. I hate the his nickname, Gus, though. It makes me cringe every time I see it on tumblr.
